Feast: St. Basil the Great

Drink of the Week: The Great Basil Cocktail, Revised

1 lime wedge

3-6 fresh basil leaves

2 oz. Dolin Blanc Vermouth

1½ oz. gin

basil sprig (for garnishing)

Squeeze lime into shaker. Add basil leaves and simple syrup, and muddle gently. Add ice, Dolin, and gin and shake vigorously at least forty times. Pour into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with a sprig of basil.
